The festival, which describes itself as “America’s original beach party,” officially begins Friday and runs through Sunday in Pensacola Beach, Fla., at Casino Beach. A kickoff party takes place Thursday evening for fans with VIP tickets.
The 2011 De Luna Fest lineup features Weezer, Jane’s Addiction, Cut Copy, Girl Talk, The Shins, Cake, Ghostland Observatory, Diplo, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, A-Trak, Matt and Kim, and The Airborne Toxic Event. Linkin Park was forced to cancel its Sunday headline appearance because of vocalist Chester Bennington’s upcoming shoulder surgery.
Earlier this week festival organizers announced its “Bring A Guest To The Fest” promotion, explaining that DeLuna wanted to thank ticket buyers for supporting the event.
Fans who have purchased, or plan to purchase, a general admission three-day weekend pass will get a second non-transferable general admission weekend pass for a friend. Ticket holders should arrive at the festival with their guests to redeem the wristbands. The promotion does not apply to single-day or VIP tickets.
General admission passes are priced at $189.95. If you wait until Friday to purchase the passes at the gate the price will increase to $215.
Single-day tickets are available for $75.
