Rick Ross experiences two seizures, Tone Loc collapses, Robin Gibb’s colon acts up and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon might be headed to Splitsville.
All The Way To Memphis With Rick Ross
Evidently the third time really is the charm. At least, it was for Rick Ross who suffered two seizures on two different planes while attempting to travel to Memphis.
Ross’ first medical escapade began Friday afternoon while on a Delta Air Lines flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Memphis where he was scheduled to appear at a University of Memphis basketball game that evening. However, fate had other plans for the 34-year-old rapper in the form of a sudden seizure that forced the plane to return to Florida where Ross was treated at a Fort Lauderdale hospital.
Upon being released and after tweeting “Memphis here I come,” Ross boarded a private jet bound for Memphis, but a second seizure resulted in that flight making an emergency landing in Birmingham, Ala., where Ross was rushed yet again to a local hospital where he was treated and eventually released.
Ross finally made it to Memphis Sunday night where he appeared at the opening of his new chicken wing joint. However, his third attempt to reach The River City was strictly a grounded affair with the rapper hitching a ride on DJ Khaled’s tour bus, according to TMZ.
So far, no information as to what might have caused Ross’ seizures has been released.

Tone Loc Back On His Feet
Rick Ross wasn’t the only rapper experiencing medical problems during the past few days.
Tone Loc collapsed while performing in Atlanta Saturday, according to MSNBC.
The ‘80s star known for his hits “Wild Thing” and “Funky Cold Medina” was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he was treated for dehydration.
Robin Gibb’s Colon OK
Apparently Robin Gibb’s colon has cooled down a bit.
Fans learned about the Bee Gee’s inflamed colon when they read a post on his website stating he went to an Oxford, England, hospital for treatment Oct. 13.
Noting that it was “a difficult time” for Gibb and his family, the post also asked fans to respect the singer’s privacy.

But it turned out to be a short stay in the hospital. Today Gibb’s website reports he is home recovering after being discharged and that he plans to resume work in a couple of days.
Sonic Youth’s Moore, Gordon Announce Separation
One of rock’s most enduring marriages may be headed for the rocks. Late last week it was announced that Sonic Youth co-founders Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon were separating after 27 years of marriage.
The announcement was made by a representative of Beggars Group, the owner of the band’s Matador label, according to Reuters.
Even though future Sonic Youth plans are uncertain, the announcement assured fans that the band’s South American tour scheduled for November will happen. After that? Well, that remains to be seen.
“Plans beyond that (November) tour are uncertain,” the statement read. “The couple has requested respect for their personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment.”
