For years the annual Bridge School Benefit and the yearly induction ceremonies for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame have given fans unique performances featuring some of the biggest names in music. During the next few weeks separate CD and DVD packages will be released commemorating some of the truly original performances that have graced both events throughout the years.

On Oct. 24 Reprise Records will release The Bridge School Benefit Concerts 25th Anniversary Edition in the form of a three-DVD collection as well as a two-CD set featuring some of the most memorable performances at Neil and Pegi Young’s annual event benefiting the school’s efforts to educate children suffering from severe speech and physical impairments.

One big reason music lovers flock to Bridge School each year is to experience their favorite artists performing in an acoustic setting and the upcoming DVD and CD releases do not disappoint. Included are past Bridge School performances by Bruce Springsteen, Patti Smith, Pearl Jam, David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, The Who, Tom Petty, Simon & Garfunkel and Neil Young with Crazy Horse.

You’ll also have an opportunity to watch much of the action from the DVD package on the big screen by attending a one-night-only showing of the Bridge School Concert Film scheduled for the same day the DVD and CD packages arrive in store. Click here to find out where the flick is playing near you.

For the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame’s upcoming release, the institute honoring the best of the best has partnered with Time Life to provide an audio record of some of the best performances that have taken place at the Rock Hall’s induction ceremonies since 1986.

Selections include George Harrison, Ringo Starr, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty, Mick Jagger and Billy Joel performing The Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There,” Jagger and Tina Turner whipping up a steamy “Honky Tonk Woman” and Bono and Springsteen sharing a microphone for U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

How can you acquire this collection of amazing moments in live music? On Nov. 15 the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame LIVE will be available as a 10-volume set exclusively through iTunes.
