The Kills Survive

10:03 AM Tuesday 11/1/11 |   |

Hard to believe The Kills are starting their second decade as a duo, but Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart are planning on having a 10th anniversary blowout in New York this February.

Before putting on their party hats at NYC’s Terminal 5 Feb. 11, the UK-based group will come to North America in mid-January for a tour including shows in Chicago, Austin, Dallas, New Orleans and Boston. Jeff the Brother and Hunters support on all dates.

The Kills will be arriving from a European tour, starting Nov. 11, where they will tour with Weekend. On Dec. 3 at London’s Brixton Academy, the two bands perform with Gang Of Four. Which is awesome.

The Kills have just released a new video for “Baby Says” and here it is.

Hopefully the next years brings new records and tours by both QOTSA and TDW. I have seen Queens only two times, but The Dead nine times, respectfully. I have great respect for Dean.

    Well,  there's one down:

QUEENS guitarist Dean Fertita had previously said about the songwriting process for the follow-up to 2007's "Era Vulgaris", "We've got so many ideas started already; I guess we'll see what turns out to be everybody's favorite. It's very much still Homme's band, but I think all of us really feel like we've found our space in it and can contribute to it as well."

No. I never got to see them live, which sucks.  I guess truthfully I'd just rather have a new Queens album than the Weather.  Maybe we'll get both in the near future.

@Southern Boy Did you ever see The Dead Weather in concert? Jack does play guitar, along with his primary duties as drummer, and Dean kills it throughout the show.

I've really enjoyed the two Dead Weather albums, but I'd much rather Jack be playing guitar and Dean be killing it with QOTSA.  Alison can do no wrong no matter what group she is with though.

Jack White, Jack Lawrence, Dean Feritita, and Alison Mossheart are "Wannabe hipster clones"? You are a complete *** tool and I imagined you learned your lesson the first time your idiotic alt account was banned. Apparently an IP ban is what is called for.

Two Dead Weather records are enough. Wannabe hipster clones for wannabe hipsters.
