For those in Virginia, there’s at least one thing to do when Veterans Day rolls around. Rascal Flatts lead guitarist Joe Don Rooney, Don Felder, John Oates and J.D. Souther are joining in the first James River Jam at Busch Gardens’ Royal Palace Theatre in Williamsburg, Va.
The Nov. 11 event will honor local military and benefit An Achievable Dream Academy, Folds Of Honor Foundation and Eastern Congo Initiative. The organizations are dedicated to improving educational opportunities for children and young adults.
A portion of ticket sales will be given to local military bases for complimentary admission to the jam.
The James River Jam lineup also includes The Monkees lead singer Micky Dolenz, Sam Bush and former Marshall Tucker Band member Jerry Eubanks. Musician/Canadian pro golfer (how cool is that?) Joe Horowitz will also be there. Ben Affleck, who is the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative, will makes a special video appearance.
