Mythbusters Take The Stage

07:00 AM Wednesday 11/2/11 |   |

Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman – the faces behind television’s “MythBusters”  – are taking their discoveries live.

“MythBusters: Behind the Myths” launches in Modesto, Calif., Jan. 6 and has 28 stops in total between Los Angeles and New York. Check back soon for a full itinerary.

The show will include onstage experiments, audience participation, video and stories. Savage and Hyneman are expected to match wits on stage “with each other and members of the audience,” according to a statement.  Oh, and fellas - if the show's Kari Byron is involved, it's still being kept quiet.

What exactly is going to happen is still on the QT and very hush hush, but Savage and Hyneman’s bon mots are very well known, from hosting the enjoyable Discovery Channel show to appearances on “The Colbert Report” to various “CSI” episodes.

Hyneman owns effects company M5 Industries and, in 2002, called former employee Savage to participate in the “MythBusters” TV pilot.
