Rieu Gets In The Spirit

02:44 PM Friday 11/4/11 | |

For those planning to see André Rieu this month, he’s decided to put you in the mood for the holidays.

The classical violinist has long been planning to visit markets up and down the Eastern seaboard. It was only recently, though, that the shows have been turned into holiday-themed extravaganzas.

Rieu is bringing along his 60-piece Johann Strauss orchestra and Stradivarius, as planned. But, now, the song selections and theme will presumably have more of a winter flair.

The North American dates kick off in Washington, D.C., Nov. 19 and wrap in Wallingford, Conn., Nov. 30. Ottawa and Montreal are included.
