Rise Against Ready For 2012

01:18 PM Monday 11/7/11 |   |

The first leg of Rise Against’s 2012 U.S. tour has been announced starting with a Jan. 17 show at Austin Music Hall in Texas.

The punk rock band is touring in support of its sixth album, Endgame. Rise Against premiered the video for the album’s third single, “Satellite,” on the band’s Facebook page last week.

The first leg of U.S. dates runs through a Feb. 5 show in Fairfax, Va., at Patriot Center.

Additional shows include San Antonio, Texas (Jan. 18); New Orleans (Jan. 19); Orlando, Fla. (Jan. 21); Columbia, S.C. (Jan. 22); Chicago (Jan. 27); State College, Pa. (Jan. 29); Poughkeepsie, N.Y. (Jan. 30); Uniondale, N.Y. (Feb. 3); and Camden, N.J. (Feb. 4).

A Day To Remember will support all U.S. spring 2012 dates, with the exception of the New Orleans show. The Menzingers will open the first leg of shows. Glassjaw joins the bill for the Uniondale gig.

Rise Against is currently in the middle of a United Kingdom tour, which wraps up Sunday in Southampton, followed by a Nov. 15 gig in Rome. The band closes out the year with a few U.S. dates and holiday radio shows.

After wrapping up the first leg of the U.S. 2012 tour Rise Against will return to Europe for a run of gigs booked Feb. 28 through March 20.

A fan club presale for the new U.S. dates takes place Tuesday at riseagainst.artistarena.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday.
