Lollapalooza Announces Chile, Brazil Lineups

11:01 AM Monday 11/21/11 |   |

Lollapalooza will expand its South American presence in 2012 by returning to Chile and debuting in Brazil. Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys will appear in both countries while Bjork is set for Chile and Jane’s Addiction will rock Brazil.

The festival’s second year in Chile will take place March 31 through April 1 at the same location as its 2011 debut – O’Higgins Park in Santiago. The brand new Lollapalooza Brazil is scheduled for April 7-8 in Sao Paulo at the Jockey Club.

Along with the Foos and Arctic Monkeys, other acts scheduled to appear in both countries include Skrillex, Calvin Harris, Mgmt, TV On The Radio, Bassnectar, Band Of Horses, Thievery Corporation, Peaches, Cage The Elephant, Joan Jett And The Blackhearts, Friendly Fires, Foster The People and Tinie Tempah.

Along with Bjork Lollapalooza Chile will also host Swedish DJ/producer Avicii, Los Jaivas, Juana F, BBS Paranoicos and Carmila Moreno. Acts unique to the Lollapalooza Brazil lineup include Plebe Rude, Wander Wildner and Cascadura.

Of course you get everything that helps contribute to that famous Lollapalooza vibe including multiple stages, an electronic tent, local fare and the “Kidzapalooza” area.

Tickets for Lollapalooza Chile are on sale now. A two-day presale for Lollapalooza Brazil begins Tuesday and the general onsale launches Nov. 28. Click here for more information on Lollapalooza Chile and here for Lollapalooza Brazil.
