Festival Noize: Wannee, Rock On The Range, Doheny Blues and Sasquatch!

02:01 PM Monday 11/21/11 | |

It’s never too early to begin planning your 2012 music festival plans. Not when the Wannee Music Festival, Rock On The Range, the Donheny Blues Festival and Sasquatch! are selling tickets now or are planning to put tickets on sale within the next few days.

The annual Memorial Weekend blowout known as the Sasquatch! Music Festival is set for May 25-28 at The Gorge near Quincy, Wash. While organizers have yet to reveal lineup details, past Sasquatch! festivals hosted everyone from The Cure to Wilco and included performances by such notables as The Arcade Fire, Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M. and Foo Fighters. Expect the Sasquatch! 2012 lineup to be announced some time in February.

A limited amount of four-day festival passes will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. PST. Visit the festival’s website for more information.

Ohio’s Rock On The Range festival isn’t teasing any big names yet, but it is putting some tickets on the selling block next week. Taking place May 18-20 at Crew Stadium in Columbus, pre-sale layaway weekend tickets go on sale Cyber Monday (Nov. 28) at 10 a.m. EST with weekend field general admission priced at $134.50 and stadium general admission tickets set at $99.50. Visit RockOnTheRange.com for everything you need to know.

Florida’s Wanee Festival, scheduled for April 19-21 at Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak will put a limited number of its $165 (plus fees) three-day passes up in an early bird sale beginning Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. EST. Head on over to WaneeFestival.com for the lowdown.

While many 2012 festivals have yet to name a single performer, Southern California’s Doheny Blues Festival identifies three headliners ready to rock the Doheny State Beach in Dana Point. Happening May 19-20, the 15th annual festival will host Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter and Tab Benoit.

For the first time, the Doheny Blues Festival will work with the EventBand System which is based on “smart” wristbands functioning as tickets and electronic wallets. While wristbands were needed at previous Doheny Blues Festivals, 2012 will mark the first year organizers ship the bands to ticket purchasers during the weeks leading up to the big event.

Discounted early bird weekend passes for Doheny are available now through Dec. 31. Visit OmegaEvents.com for details.
