Get Intimate With Morrissey

04:01 PM Monday 11/21/11 |   |

Morrissey is taking a page from Prince’s songbook and announcing a last-minute show in Los Angeles just two days before he takes the stage.

The Nov. 23 show at The Music Box is being touted as a “rare, intimate show” as the venue only holds 1,300 fans.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday at 12 p.m. Pacific Standard Time and will only be available through the venue box office. Make sure you bring your ID to make your purchase (and then again to pick up your tickets on Wednesday) and keep in mind that there’s a limit of two tickets per person.

The new gig has been squeezed into the British singer’s 2011 U.S. tour, which began earlier this month. U.S. dates are booked through a Dec. 17 show at Chicago’s Congress Theater.

Morrissey’s other show in Los Angeles this month takes place Nov. 26 at the 6,300-capacity Shrine Auditorium & Expo Center. He’ll play another more intimate show in nearby Pomona Nov. 28 at the 2,000-capacity Fox Theater Pomona.

Before the year ends he’ll also play Escondido, Calif. (Nov. 22); Las Vegas (Nov. 25); and Oakland, Calif. (Dec. 1). Mexico dates are scheduled Dec. 5-13.

Tune in to TBS Nov. 29 to see Moz perform on “Conan.”
