Red Hot Chili Peppers Slot More U.S. Dates

10:01 AM Monday 12/5/11 |   |

The band adds more shows to its North American tour, slotting stops in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

The additions also mean the first date of the North American tour has changed. Now the initial U.S. show on the schedule is listed as Jan. 20 in Sunrise, Fla., at the Bank Atlantic Center. Previously, the Jan. 25 gig in Charlotte, N.C., was at the top of the schedule. Of course, more additions could change the temporal logistics. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Along with the Sunrise date, the new additions for RHCP include Orlando at Amway Arena Jan. 21; Tampa at St. Pete Times Forum Jan. 23; the New Orleans Arena Feb. 4; San Antonio’s AT&T Center March 6; Houston at the Toyota Center March 8; Dallas at American Airlines Arena March 9; Tulsa at BOK Arena March 13; Oklahoma City at Chesapeake Energy Arena March 15 and North Little Rock, Ark., at Verizon Arena March 16.

Dallas goes on sale Dec. 9, all other new dates go up Dec. 10. Visit RedHotChiliPeppers.com for more information.
