Vans Warped Tour Begins Band Announcements

Organizers have given fans the first peek at next year’s massive Vans Warped Tour lineup with the first five 2012 bands announced including Memphis May Fire and The Silver Comet.

The other brand new acts are Chelsea Grin, Bayside and Sleeping With Sirens.  The next five acts will be revealed Wednesday, followed by additional announcements over the next few weeks and months through the end of March.

Vans Warped Tour hasn’t nailed down venues yet, but we do have dates and cities for you.

The festival begins June 16 in Salt Lake City and runs through Aug. 5 in Portland, Ore.

Additional cities getting the warped treatment include Denver (June 17); Las Vegas (June 20); San Francisco (June 23); Las Cruces, N.M. (June 29); Dallas (July 3); St. Louis (July 5); Detroit (July 6); Pittsburgh (July 12); Toronto (July 13); Boston (July 19); New York (July 21); Atlanta (July 26); Orlando, Fla. (July 27); Cincinnati (July 31); and Milwaukee (Aug. 1).

Now that holiday package sales have ended, the next chance to buy tickets is the April 6 presale.

The 2011 headliners included 3OH!3, A Day To Remember, Travie McCoy, The Devil Wears Prada and Asking Alexandria.
