Turns out Trace Adkins’ appearance on last summer’s “Invitation Only” special on CMT was the inspiration for the upcoming tour. Along with performing new hits “Just Fishin’” and “Million Dollar View,” Adkins also did a Q&A with fans. Not only was the appearance a heap of fun for Adkins and his guests, but it motivated the country performer to take the experience on the road.

The “Songs & Stories Tour” begins in Des Moines, Iowa, at Hoyt Sherman Place March 8. Other destinations include Milwaukee’s Riverside Theatre March 15; Rochester, Minn., at Mayo Civic Center Auditorium March 16; Grand Fords, N.D., at Chester Fritz Auditorium March 17; Ashland, Ky., at Paramount Arts Center April 12; Louisville, Ky., at Palace Theater April 18; Denver at Paramount Theatre April 25; Savannah, Ga., at Johnny Mercer Theatre May 4; and Atlanta at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre May 17.

Fan club presales for March dates begin today with most of the first month’s worth of dates going up for the general public on Friday. The exception is Rochester, which begins its presale Jan. 30 and the public onsale launches Feb. 3.

Update!  Presales for April and May shows also begin Jan. 30 with public onsales starting Feb. 3. That is, except for Denver which launches the presale Jan. 23 and the public onsale Jan. 27,  Savannah which launches its public onsale Feb. 10.  The presale for South Bend, Ind. (May 11) begins the public onsale Feb. 4.  The presale for Memphis (May 12) begins Jan. 23 and the public onsale launches Jan. 27.. Check out Adkins’ official website for more information.
