One Night Only: Bret Michaels, Shelby Lynne & More

01:01 PM Friday 1/27/12 |   |

Bret Michaels, Shelby Lynne and Robert Cray are a few of the acts performing in early February at the Grammy Foundation’s music preservation project. You don’t have to make six-figures to attend because general admission tickets are only $25.

Taking place Feb. 9 in Beverly Hills, Calif., at the Saban Theatre, “One Night Only: A Celebration of the Live Music Experience” is the 14th annual preservation project. The Grammy Week event promotes the foundation’s mission of recognizing and preserving our musical past for future generations.

The evening features live performances along with historical footage from preservation archives. One Night Only “will explore the history and evolution of live concert performances and celebrate the various and invaluable contributions of those events, the key players behind them, and their influence on the American cultural landscape.”

Sharon Osbourne and Steve Vai are co-hosting the event, which also features performances from Jonny Lang, Mavis Staples, Dave Koz, Ledisi, the Colburn Orchestra, A Fine Frenzy, Tyrese, Queen Extravaganza contest winner Marc Martel, and NBC’s “The Voice” finalist Beverly McClellan. Michaels’ set will close the night. Songwriter, producer, Recording Academy Trustee and Grammy Foundation Board member Darrell Brown will be the evening’s musical director.
