New April Shows For Bon Iver

05:01 PM Tuesday 2/7/12 |   |

What will Bon Iver do as an encore following its performance this past weekend on Saturday Night Live? How about some brand new U.S. dates?

Fronted by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, the indie folk band begins its 2012 schedule by traveling Down Under for an Australian tour scheduled March 3-17. The new gigs are scheduled around Bon Iver’s appearances at Coachella Festival in Indio, Calif., April 14 and April 21.

The first U.S. gig is set for April 12 at Las Vegas’ The Joint. The April tour includes stops in Davis, Calif., at the Freedom Hall at UC Davis April 17; San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium April 19; Santa Barbara, Calif., at the Santa Barbara Bowl April 22 and Tucson, Ariz., at the AVA Amphitheatre April 23.

Bon Iver, which is touring in support of its self-titled sophomore album, ends the month with an April 27 appearance at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. On May 27 the group headlines Sasquatch! Music Festival in George, Wash.

All Tiny Creatures are providing support April 12-22, with the exception of the Coachella shows.

A presale for the San Francisco show begins Feb. 9. Tickets for the Las Vegas and Santa Barbara shows go on sale Feb. 11.

Tickets are on sale now for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Sasquatch! tickets go on sale to the general public Feb. 11. A Live Nation and radio presale for the festival begins Feb. 8.
