The Case Of The Postponed Tour That Wasn’t

04:01 PM Tuesday 2/7/12 |   |

You can forget those media stories about Lana Del Rey postponing her March tour. Turns out there wasn’t a tour to postpone.

The New York Post and Fox News ran reports claiming Del Rey ended up postponing a March road trip because of bad press resulting from her “Saturday Night Live” appearance last month.

However, TheWrap.com reports there was never a tour in the first place.

“Lana told MTV several weeks ago that she plans to tour in October,” representative Matt Hanks told TheWrap.com. “There has never been a spring tour announced or canceled.”

Meanwhile, Del Rey is keeping busy, appearing tonight at Amoeba Records in Los Angeles and at Amoeba’s San Francisco store Thursday night. The singer is also working in Europe promoting her recently released album, Born To Die.

Well her media people said a tour would follow her album release in December. So those plans were scrapped, even if nothing was formally booked. So the original story is kind of correct, but I think this was just another 'put Del Ray in the news' stories.
