Chris Cornell Schedules ‘Songbook’ Dates

11:01 AM Monday 2/13/12 |   |

Chris Cornell’s May schedule includes a few shows he was to play last fall before a nasty bug waylaid him.

Cornell’s acoustic “Songbook” tour was briefly silenced by laryngitis brought about by the flu. Now he’s ready to resume his road trip. Cornell’s first acoustic album, Songbook, featurs a collection of tracks from the artist’s 2011 spring tour, including material he wrote for Temple Of the Dog, Soundgarden and Audioslave.

So far, Cornell’s May adventure consists of three Florida dates plus shows in Alabama and Tennessee. Beginning with a gig in Tampa at the Tampa Theatre May 12, the routing includes Orlando at Hard Rock Café / Hard Rock Live May 13; Miami at The Fillmore at Jackie Gleason Theater May 16; Gulf Shores, Ala., at the Hangout Festival May 18 and Nashville’s War Memorial Auditorium May 20.

Tickets for shows originally scheduled for fall 2011 will be honored on the new dates. Check out ChrisCornell.com for more information.
