Vans Warped Tour Update

12:01 PM Monday 2/20/12 |   |

Info about the kick-off party, presales and onsales after the jump.

Launching June 16 in Salt Lake City, the Vans Warped Tour is always a touring behemoth, a small city traveling from town to town bringing music mixed with extreme sports to one and all.

But it wouldn’t be right to launch a major undertaking like Warped without a big pre-tour blow out. Happening in Los Angeles at Club Nokia L.A. Live March 29, the Vans Warped Tour Kick-Off Party will feature performances from Falling In Reverse, Matt Toka and Dead Sara plus two surprise guests.

This year’s kick-off party also includes a screening of the Warped Tour documentary “No Room For Rockstars” as well as a performance by Forever Came Calling, the group featured in the flick. “No Room For Rockstars” will be available on iTunes beginning April 2. The film will be released on DVD May 15.

Warped has been teasing fans with its Wednesday announcements revealing the bands appearing on the tour. So far Warped has revealed 57 acts and plans to start naming headliners March 14.

Tickets for the kick-off party are available now. Presales for the tour begin March 30 and the general onsale launches April 7. Visit VansWarpedTour.com for more information.
