Sting’s Summer Plans

One date in the U.S. and several gigs in Europe keeps Sting on the go.

Performing with his five-piece band consisting of guitarist Dominic Miller, drummer Vinnie Colauita, David Sancious on keyboards, electric fiddler Peter Tickell and vocalist Jo Lawry, Sting will play Atlantic City at Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa / Event Ctr. June 9 before crossing the Ppond for a series of festival appearances.

Sting’s European calendar has the former Police-man playing Oslo’s Norwegian Wood Festival June 17; Norway’s Bergen Calling June 19; TW Classic Festival in Werchter, Belgium, June 23; and Great Britain’s Henley Festival July 4.

Three festivals in France will host Sting – Cognac Blues Passions Festival July 6; Festival Les Deferlantes in Argelès-sur-Mer July 8; and Festival Des Vieilles in Carhaix-Plouguer July 21.

But Sting’s summer agenda isn’t all festivals. He will appear in Oense, Denmark, at Engen Fruens Bøge June 21; Prague’s O2 Arena June 25 and in Arcachon, France, at the Stade Velodrome July 22.
