How Do You Do, Mayer Hawthorne?

The next leg of Mayer Hawthorne’s “How Do You Do World Tour” will take the soul singer/multi-instrumentalist/producer to venues across the U.S. this spring.  

Hawthorne will be joined on the road by his four-piece backing band, The County.

The world tour is in support of his second studio album, How Do You Do, which was released in October on Universal Republic Records.

Tonight Hawthorne plays Wellington, New Zealand, at the San Francisco Bath House. Additional New Zealand and Australia shows are booked through March 1, followed by two gigs in Jakarta, Indonesia, March 3-4. A European tour is scheduled March 7-31 and includes performances in the U.K., France, Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy.

The North American leg kicks off April 16 at New York City’s Webster Hall. The trek features stops at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer April 18; Dallas’ South Side Music Hall April 27; Saint Petersburg, Fla., at State Theatre May 7; Cleveland’s House Of Blues May 14; Lawrence, Kan., at the Granada Theatre May 21; and Indianapolis’ Deluxe May 23.

The excursion also includes two gigs in Canada – May 25 at Toronto’s Opera House Concert Venue and May 26 at Montreal’s Corona Theatre.

More dates will be added in South America.

Hawthorne supports Foster The People on the band’s North American spring tour June 25 through July 7.  

Select dates are already on sale for Hawthorne’s North American tour. Some shows go on sale this Friday, Feb. 24.
