Radiohead Adds Australia & New Zealand Dates

03:01 PM Monday 2/27/12 |   |

Radiohead returns Down Under after eight years with five arena shows in Australia Nov. 9-17 through Chugg Entertainment.

Rumours were the band would headline July’s Splendour In The Grass festival.

“In this era of social media with nothing remaining secret for long,” Chugg said, “Radiohead, however, manage to defy this with their celebrated return being one of the biggest and best kept secrets this year.”

Presale tickets on the band’s website were snapped up in 45 minutes. Within an hour, the A$135 (US$144) tix were being offered online for $425 ($455).

Radiohead will do a show in New Zealand before Australia, at Auckland’s Vector Arena November 6. It is Radiohead’s first visit since 1998.

Chugg Entertainment’s pre-sale begins Feb. 28. Tickets go on sale to the general public March 1.
