04:01 PM Monday 2/27/12 | |

Evidently Nick Lowe’s late 2011 tour with Wilco didn’t satisfy his wanderlust. The veteran singer/songwriter rocker returns to the U.S. for a headlining tour beginning in Minnesota.

Backed by his longtime band consisting of keyboardist Geraint Watkins, drummer Robert Trehern, Johnny Scott on guitar and bassist Matt Radford, Lowe launches his spring adventure in support of his 2011 album The Old Magic with a gig at Minneapolis’ First Avenue April 18.

Other stops include Milwaukee at Turner Hall April 19; Chicago’s Park West April 20; New York City at Town Hall April 25; Boston’s Wilbur Theater April 26; Alexandria, Va., at The Birchmere April 30 and Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse May 3.
