You gotta figure that fans had already guessed Shelton would join the lineup of artists performing at the 47th annual ACM Awards. Co-hosting the show with Reba means Shelton was already scheduled to be in the building when the awards take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. All he needs is a guitar and – presto! – he’s on the performance lineup as well as co-hosting the festivities.

The Academy of Country Music Awards let loose with its first round of announcements regarding the performance lineup last week, saying Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw will appear.

Scheduled for April 1, the Dick Clark-produced event will air live on CBS on the East Coast at 8 p.m. EDT. However, West Coast fans will have to restrain from checking the Internet for ACM results. That’s because the awards show will air three hours later in the Pacific Daylight Time zone.
