Jason Aldean – Pizza Man
There are fans and there are FANS in that some music lovers will do anything to acquire tickets for their favorite act.
Country star Jason Aldean reached out to a few dedicated fans recently when he ordered a pizza delivery for some folks who were camped out overnight outside a venue so they could purchase tickets for the singer when the box office opened the following morning.
The good deed took place in Peoria, Ill., where Aldean is scheduled to play the city’s Civic Center May 10, according to the Journal Star newspaper, which reported online that a foursome comprised of Nashville residents was spending the night in hopes of snagging some decent seats for their hero.
Although Aldean didn’t read the item about the fans, tour promoter Brian O’Connell did and forwarded the story to Aldean who responded that the faithful should get some pizza for their dedication. Since O’Connell’s family is from Peoria, he went straight to his favorite pizza purveyor – Agatucci’s.
“We were stoked. We were happy to have the pizzas,” Austin Wright told the Journal Star.
And the tickets? Front row for the fans, reminding us once again that there are few things better in life than primo concert tickets and pizza.

A Man & His Art
Ron Wood has a solo show of a different nature coming up in New York City. An art gallery is going to feature the Rolling Stones guitarist’s artwork.
Wood’s artistic nature has been well documented over the years. While still a child his drawings were featured on a BBC program and over the past few decades his paintings have been exhibited in galleries throughout the world.
The newest place to see Wood’s artwork will be at the Broome Street Art Gallery located at 498 Broome Street at West Broadway in New York City. The gallery will exhibit “Faces, Time and Places” featuring works selected by Wood, including paintings, drawings and limited-edition prints, some of which will be for sale.
The exhibition begins April 9, just five days before Wood’s old band, The Faces, is inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones goof around as they announce a Faces reunion gig set for Aug. 13.
