Taking Back Sunday Joins Warped Tour

03:01 PM Thursday 3/22/12 |   |

Taking Back Sunday joining the main stage headliners is your latest reason for catching this year’s Vans Warped Tour.

Although in past years Taking Back Sunday has appeared on select Warped dates, this year marks the first time the band is on the entire tour. Other bands on Warped include The Used, New Found Glory, Yellowcard, Pierce The Veil, Streetlight Manifesto, Miss May I, and Breathe Carolina.

Taking Back Sunday has something special planned for Record Store Day, a four-song 12-inch LP featuring four acoustic live tracks recorded at Fingerprints Record Store in Long Beach, Calif., and Looney Tunes in West Babylon, N.Y. Called We Play Songs, the disc is limited to only 2,000 pressings. “Ghost Man On Third” and “Your Own Disaster” were recorded at Fingerprints and “Faith (When I Let You Down)” and “Great Romances Of The 20th Century” come from the band’s appearance at Looney Tunes.

If they act fast, shoppers at Fingerprints Long Beach just might be able to snag one of the 300 yellow vinyl exclusives prepped for the store. Meanwhile, across the country shoppers at the West Babylon Looney Tunes can grab one of the 300 blue vinyl discs pressed exclusively for the East Coast store.
