No Lightweights @ Heavy T.O.

Canada’s Heavy T.O. festival isn’t for the fainthearted, mellow-rocking, please-don’t-play-too-loud crowd. Not with headliners like Slipknot and System Of A Down blasting Toronto’s Downsview Park Aug. 11-12. More details after the jump.

Sporting a lineup already dripping in sonic superfluity, you’d think acts like Marilyn Manson or Killswitch Engage would be enough to satisfy Toronto’s most persnickety hard rock and metal fans. But Live Nation has added even more thunder to Heavy T.O.’s lineup in the form of Deftones, Dethklok, Trivium, Cancer Bats, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Rose Funeral and Origin.

Here’s the lineup from headliner to opener:

Saturday, Aug. 11
Slipknot
Marilyn Manson
Lamb Of God
Dethklok
Suicidal Tendencies
Trivium
Gojira
Protest The Hero

What’s so special about “special edition?” Live Nation says the “limited edition” ticket “is something special that fans can keep for years to come.”

If you like to go in style, then Heavy T.O.’s platinum pass is the ticket for you. The Live Nation Lounge platinum single-day pass is priced at $251 while the platinum weekend pass goes for $502. Amenities include a private bar, restrooms, raised bleacher seatings and more. Prices mentioned do not include applicable fees.
