12:01 PM Wednesday 4/25/12 | |

Although Rufus Wainwright’s new album is titled “Out Of The Game,” the singer-songwriter isn’t done with the touring game.  He’s announced another set of U.S. dates for July and August.

Out Of The Game is due out in the U.S. May 1, marking Wainwright’s seventh studio album.  Produced by Mark Ronson, the release features guest appearances from his sister Martha Wainwright, Sean Lennon, Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, and members of The Dap-Kings. You can check out tunes from Out Of The Game on NPR’s website where the album is being streamed in full until May 1.

The new U.S. dates begin with a July 24 gig in Vienna, Va., at Filene Center At Wolf Trap. After that Wainwright is off to Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing July 25; Purchase, N.Y., at Purchase College SUNY July 27; Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center in New York July 28; Boston’s Bank Of America Pavilion July 29 and Portland, Maine, at State Theatre July 31.

The itinerary also includes stops in Shelburne, Vt. (Aug. 1); Cleveland (Aug. 3); Pittsburgh (Aug. 4); Louisville, Ky. (Aug. 5); Bloomington, Ind. (Aug. 7); Chicago (Aug. 8); Milwaukee (Aug. 10) and Apple Valley, Minn. (Aug. 11).

Presales for most dates are on sale now. Tickets for Apple Valley go on sale April 30 and Vienna’s presale begins May 1.
