It’s time to make your plans for that trek to the Mendocino County Fairgrounds located in Boonville, Calif. Scheduled for June 22-24, the festival features two stages, a late-night dancehall, a global village of arts, crafts and food along with an extensive children’s program.

Boonville is also the home of the Anderson Valley Brewing Co., makers of world-famous Boont Amber Ale, giving you yet another reason to pull out the map and program the GPS.

While daily schedules are yet to be hammered out, festival organizers are proudly proclaiming that this year’s roots reggae and world music celebration will mark the first time Jimmy Cliff and Third World will appear at the event.

Advance three-day tickets priced at $160 are on sale now. Limited camping is available, but organizers stress that the music tickets do not include camping and that camping passes must be purchased separately in advance. Visit the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival website for more information.
