Norah Jones Books Fall Gigs

Norah Jones continues to fill up her 2012 schedule. After a busy summer breaking hearts in North America and Europe, she’ll return to the states for another road trip in October.

The singer-songwriter put out her fifth studio album, Little Broken Hearts, last week. The release, which was produced and co-written by Danger Mouse, debuted at No. 2 on the Nielsen SoundScan chart.

Previously announced U.S. and Canadian dates are scheduled June 20 through July 8 and Aug. 7-23. Jones will head overseas several times this year for European gigs in late May and early June as well as July and September.

The fall tour begins in Minneapolis Oct. 7 at The Orpheum Theatre. Jones will stop by Milwaukee’s Riverside Theatre Oct. 8; the Chicago Theatre Oct. 9; Kansas City, Mo., at The Midland by AMC Oct. 13; St. Louis at Peabody Opera House Oct. 15; and Houston’s Bayou Music Center Oct. 20. The last date of the excursion is Oct. 23 in New Orleans at the Mahalia Jackson Theater For The Performing Arts.

Presales for select dates are scheduled May 10 and May 11. Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning May 11, with additional onsales May 12 and May 18.
