Toadies Team With Helmet

The indie rockers from Texas partner with New York City’s Helmet for a summer adventure launching in Houston in late July.

For the Toadies the tour will give them plenty of opportunities to present songs from their new album, Play.Rock.Music, scheduled to be released July 31 on Kirtland Records. The album’s first single – “Summer Of The Strange” – was released early this month and there was much rejoicing.

The first round of dates shows the tour beginning in Houston at House Of Blues July 20. Stops also include New Orleans at Tipitina’s July 22; St. Petersburg, Fla., at State Theatre July 26; Atlanta’s Masquerade July 28; New York City at Webster Hall Aug. 2; Pontiac, Mich., at The Crofoot Aug. 8; Chicago’s House Of Blues Aug. 9 and Sauget, Ill., at Pop’s Aug. 11. Last entry on the schedule is Denver’s Bluebird Theater Aug. 14.

Ume opens on all dates.
