The festival returns to the grounds of the Greenfield Community College July 14-15.
The Guthrie gang performs Saturday, July 14 along with Los Lobos, Charles Bradley & the Extraordinaires, David Wax Museum, Rebirth Brass Band, The Pimps Of Joytime, Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express, Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three, Lake Street Dive, Casey Driessen and more.
Sunday, July 15 includes sets from Ozomatli, Richard Thompson, Rubblebucket, Winterpills, Chris Smither & The Motivators, Elizabeth Cook, Martin Simpson, Brown Bird, Alchemystics, Uncle Rock and more.
Presented by the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce, Green River Festival bills itself as the only music festival in Massachusetts that features hot air balloons and balloon rides. Weather permitting, balloon launches are scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m., and Sunday at 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Rain or shine, fans can count on local food, artisan craft merchants and kid’s activities and entertainment.
Tickets are on sale now. Advance two-day passes are $75 and single-day tickets are available for $55. If you wait to buy your tickets at the gate you’ll have to fork over $75 per day.
