Celebrating 15 years in the biz, indie label Yep Roc will commandeer a club in Carrboro, N.C., come October for three nights of music featuring performances by Dave Alvin, Nick Lowe, Fountains Of Wayne, Robyn Hitchcock and more.
Scheduled for Oct. 11-13 at Cat’s Cradle and called, appropriately enough, “Yep Roc 15,” the initial lineup also includes X’s John Doe, The Sadies, Chatham County Line, Liam Finn, Los Straitjackets, Eleni Mandell, Mayflies USA, Cheyenne Marie Mize, Chuck Prophet, Sloan and Jim White with more to be announced.
But Yep Roc’s 15th b-day shindig isn’t limited to Cat’s Cradle. The event’s “Premiere Fan Bundle” gives you access to a kick-off party Oct. 10 at Local 506 featuring performances by Los Straitjackets, The Fleshtones, Southern Culture On The Skids and Countdown Quartet. The bundle also includes access to an artists reception at the West End Wine Bar and a collaborative recording session hosted by Chris Stamey (Alex Chilton, The dB’s) and Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5).
