Gaga’s South Africa Dates

12:01 PM Monday 6/18/12 | |

Last week there were rumors claiming Lady Gaga was going to play South Africa. Turns out the rumors were true.

There were two rumor trains rolling down the tracks last week. South African promoter Big Concerts said it would make a major announcement this week, leading many to predict Gaga was coming to Capetown.

The other rumor was in the form of an itinerary purported to be Gaga’s 2014 tour plans. Posted on at least one South African news site, the schedule showed Gaga playing South Africa along with Australia, India, the Pacific Rim and the U.S.

Well, we don’t know anything about the legitimacy of that 2014 schedule, but Big Concerts did come through with their big announcement today, saying Lady Gaga will bring her “Born This Way Ball” to South Africa this year, playing Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium Nov. 30 and Cape Town Stadium Dec. 3. Special guests The Darkness and Lady Starlight will appear on both dates.
