04:01 PM Thursday 6/21/12 |   |

Two months after Devo wraps up its co-headline tour with Blondie, the New Wave/post punk band will put on its funky headgear once again to launch a co-bill tour with Simple Minds in November.

The Australia and New Zealand tour includes stops at several wineries as part of the 12th year of the popular “A Day On The Green” winery series, which allows fans to bring their own picnic baskets to enjoy during the outside concert. Australian rock band The Church is coming along on the tour, joined by Australian alternative rock band Models on all of the Day On The Green shows.

“Australia holds a very special place in the heart of Simple Minds,” lead vocalist Jim Kerr said. “It was the first country anywhere in the world to embrace our music and we have wonderful memories of the tours we’ve done. We’re extremely excited about playing in Australia again.”
