Aerosmith Takes Tonight Off

10:01 AM Tuesday 7/3/12 |   |

There is no joy in the Washington, D.C., area as Aerosmith postpones tonight’s show until August.

The stage at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Va., won’t rock tonight, leaving thousands of fans pondering what to do with their lives once sundown arrives. There will be no “Walk This Way,” “Sweet Emotion” or “Dude Looks Like A Lady.” The mighty Aerosmith has been silenced, at least for a day.

The official fan club says Steven Tyler needs to give his voice a break. Vocal rest is what the doctor ordered, resulting in tonight’s gig being pushed back to August 12.

Tickets purchased for tonight’s show will be honored on the August date. Aerosmith’s next scheduled show is July 5 At the Palace Of Auburn Hills, north of Detroit.
