Set for Aug. 25, Slaughter By The Water includes performances by Philm, Severed Fifth, Absu, Witchaven, Impaled, Autopsy, Fog of War and Abysmal Dawn. The full-lineup, including the 2012 headliner, will be revealed soon.
If you plan on attending the show, you’ll want to watch out for ghosts and supernatural events. Nicknamed “The Grey Ghost in Alameda,” the USS Hornet is said to be one of the most haunted warships in the American Navy.
The ship, which measures 893 feet and is made up of 33,000 tons of metal, also holds Navy records for the most planes shot down in a day (72) and the most planes shot down in a month (255).
General admission tickets include access to the ship and private tours (for groups of 15) after 5 p.m. Tickerholders can get a discounted admission rate to freely roam the USS Hornet the day of the show between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The private tours include the 2nd Deck Tour, the Island Tour and the Haunted Tour.
The pier will be open to the public from 12-9 p.m., featuring Pier Stage entertainment, food vendors and retailers.
Advance tickets are on sale now for $35. The discounted admission to check out the USS Hornet on your own is $12 per person, in addition to the cost of the general admission ticket.
