Playing shows in the U.S. and Canada, Matt And Kim’s first stop will be South Burlington, Vt., at Higher Ground Oct. 3, one day after their new album, Lightning, is released on Fader.

There’s a good cause attached to this outing. Matt And Kim will spend some quality time on the tour promoting the humane treatment of animals by hosting each city’s no-kill animal shelters in venue lobbies.

Stops on the journey include Syracuse, N.Y., at Westcott Theater Oct. 4; Toronto at Phoenix Concert Theatre Oct. 5; Atlanta’s Variety Playhouse Oct. 12; Houston at House Of Blues Oct. 19; Los Angeles at The Wiltern Oct. 25; and Omaha, Neb., at The Slowdown Nov. 6. Last stop on the schedule is Montclair, N.J., at the Wellmont Theater Nov. 17.

Members of the Matt And Kim Scream Team can purchase tickets and VIP packages via an exclusive presale beginning July 31. General onsales begin Aug. 3. Check out MattAndKimMusic.com for more info.

While you’re pondering which dates fit into your own schedule, here’s the first single from Lightning, a little ditty called “Let’s Go.”
