Susanna Hoffs’ Name On The Ticket

02:01 PM Friday 9/28/12 | |

The Bangles singer steps out on her own for a series of dates in support of her new solo album. Launching her journey in Atlanta during the last week of October, Susanna Hoffs will play both coasts as well as Chicago.

Released this year on her own Baroque Folk label, Someday has been praised by critics who fell in love with the album’s retro pop sound. Associated Press’ David Bauder wrote that the album’s horns and strings “recall heroes like Burt Bacharach and Dusty Springfield,” while People’s Chuck Arnold said the disc’s “sun-kissed, retro-’60s songs show that she’s lost none of her girlish charm.”

With the video from “Picture Me” from Someday completed, Hoffs is taking her new tunes on the road, playing both coasts with a couple of stops in between.

Here’s the routing:

Oct. 29 – Decatur, Ga., Eddie's Attic
Oct. 31 – Vienna, Va., Jammin' Java
Nov. 2 – Natick, Mass., Center for Arts in Natick
Nov. 4 – Philadelphia, Pa., World Cafe Live
Nov. 5 – New York, N.Y., City Winery
Nov. 6 – Chicago, Ill., City Winery Chicago
Nov. 13 –San Diego, Calif., Anthology
Nov. 14 – Los Angeles, Calif., Largo
Nov. 15 – San Francisco, Calif., Red Devil Lounge

Hoffs will also appear at a radio industry event – Sunset Session – in Las Vegas Nov. 8.
