Muse Plots Out North American Tour

Muse’s plans for 2013 include a full-scale tour of arenas across North America. The band has announced the first round of dates, which begin in February and feature shows in Canada as well as Detroit; New York City; and East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The U.K. trio has a brand new album to promote. The 2nd Law, its sixth full-length studio effort, was released in North America on Tuesday. The band’s most recent album before that – 2009’s Resistance – was a hit all around the world, reaching No.1 in 19 countries.

Before 2012 ends Muse’s fall tour will take the band throughout Europe. The excursion begins Oct. 16 in Montpellier, France, and concludes back in France Dec. 19 with a gig in Strasbourg.

Muse kicks off 2013 with two nights in Saitama-shi, Japan, Jan. 12-13. The North American tour launches the following month in Edmonton, Alberta.
