NBC Plans All-Star Telethon For Sandy Relief

Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, Billy Joel and Christina Aguilera are among the artists appearing on a special NBC Universal telethon Friday night to raise money to help the East Coast in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

Scheduled to take place at Rockefeller Plaza studios in New York City, the one-hour telethon will be hosted by NBC’s Matt Lauer, reports The New York Times. “NBC Nightly News” anchor Brian Williams will also appear on the program.

The telethon will air 8-9 p.m. on NBC as well as Bravo, CNBC, E!, G4, MSNBC, Style, SyFy and USA. You can also watch the event online via a stream on NBC.com. The telethon will air live on the East Coast and will be tape-delayed for the West Coast.

According to the Times, NBC will allow non-affiliated broadcast outlets to air the show.
