Third Day’s ‘Miracle Tour’

10:01 AM Tuesday 11/6/12 | |

You expect big things from an outing dubbed “The Miracle Tour.” Like 45 cities on the routing and a lineup featuring headliner Third Day, along with “American Idol” finalist Colton Dixon and singer/songwriter Josh Wilson appearing as special guests.

Taking its name from Third Day’s new Miracle album produced by Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Train, The Killers) that dropped today (Nov. 6), The Miracle Tour is brought to you in part by Christian humanitarian organization World Vision and Grand Canyon University.

While talking about the new release, drummer David Carr indicated that Miracle just might be Third Day’s best-ever release.

“We have toured for so many years and feel like we owe any success we have to the fans that built Third Day,” Carr, said. “These songs are engaging musically and lyrically; we worked hard to stretch ourselves for the people who come to our shows and buy our music. We poured so much into this record because we wanted to bring our fans our very best. We are proud of Miracle and can’t wait for people to hear it.”

Fans will have plenty of chances to hear Third Day present its new music. With an itinerary just a few dates shy of the 50-night mark, the tour opens in Fairfax, Va., Feb. 21 and keeps on going until it arrives in Louisville May 10.
