Now that Matchbox Twenty has wrapped up its Australian tour with INXS, Rob Thomas and the band are talking about their next plans to hit the stage. The pop rockers have booked nearly 40 dates in the U.S. and Canada, starting in late January.

The upcoming trek is the Matchbox Twenty’s first North American outing in support of its fourth studio album, North. Released in September on Atlantic Records, North is the band’s first album of all new material since 2002’s More Than You Think You Are.
