12-12-12 Lineup – McCartney, Springsteen, Joel, Waters & More

10:01 AM Thursday 11/15/12 |   |

Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Roger Waters, Kanye West and The Who are on the lineup for “12-12-12 (A Concert For Sandy Relief)” at NYC’s Madison Square Garden.

Yes, you read that right. All that talent appearing at The Garden for one night only. But that’s not all. Today’s announcement comes with the caveat “other top artists to be announced.”

A joint effort by major players in film, music and live events, 12-12-12 is being produced by Madison Square Garden Company executive chairman James Dolan, Clear Channel Entertainment Enterprises president John Sykes and co-founder and chairman of The Weinstein Company, Harvey Weinstein.

The lineup was announced via all 850 Clear Channel radio stations nationwide as well as on their websites and iHeartRadio, and on cable channel Fuse.

“’12-12-12’ is shaping up to be a showcase of music royalty,” the producers said in a joint statement. “The response from the entertainment community to help those most affected by Hurricane Sandy has been nothing short of astounding. We expect to announce additional legendary performers in the near future and we are confident that the event will ensure those in need will not be forgotten, and vital aid will be directed to rebuilding our communities along the East Coast.”

While a ticketing on-sale date has yet to be announced, producers are promising more information, including VIP package details, will be announced in the coming days. Visit 121212Concert.org for more information.
