Sting Goes ‘Back To Bass’ Once Again

Sting will bring his popular “Back To Bass” tour to North America once again when he embarks on a spring-summer run beginning May 30.  With dates stretching to mid-July, the schedule includes an America’s Cup Concert Series appearance.

With Sting playing stripped-down versions of his songs along with a few Police tunes, the “Back To Bass” tour is supported by a five-piece band featuring guitarist Dominic Miller, David Sancious on keyboards, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, Peter Tickell on electric fiddle and Jo Lawry on backing vocals.

Following his tour through North America, Sting heads to Europe for shows in Poland, Ireland, France, Denmark and Norway.

Sting is the first artist to be announced for the America Cup’s Concert Series in San Francisco.  Along with concerts the temporary indoor venue seating 9,000 and located between Piers 27 & 29 will also host family fare, community and business events and other activities, including viewing sessions for the America’s Cup sailing races.  Construction is scheduled to begin in spring. Other artists to be announced soon.

Fan club pre-sales for France and Germany begin Jan. 23 with general onsales launching Jan. 25.

Fan club pre-sales for Cork begin Jan. 29 with general onsales launching Jan. 31.

U.S./Canada

Fan club pre-sales for Santa Barbara and Baltimore begin Jan. 23.  General onsales for Baltimore launch Jan. 25; Santa Barbara Jan. 26.
