Kanye West, Kings Of Leon Headline 2013 Governors Ball

02:01 PM Tuesday 1/22/13 |   |

New York City’s Governors Ball Music Festival has assembled another eclectic lineup, featuring 60+ acts ranging from Kanye West to The Lumineers. Kings Of Leon, Nas, Pretty Lights and The Avett Brothers are also on board for 2013.

The festival, which began as a one-day event, previously announced it’s ringing in year No. 3 by expanding once more from two days to three. Governor’s Ball is set for June 7-9 at NYC’s Randall’s Island.

West and Kings Of Leon headline two nights, with the third big name yet to be announced.

Featuring a mix of dance, indie rock, hip hop, americana, electronica and pop, the lineup includes Grizzly Bear, The xx, Feist, Kendrick Lamar, Beach House, Thievery Corporation, Animal Collective, Cut Copy and Erykah Badu.

And that’s not all. Fans will also get performances from Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Young The Giant, Bloc Party, Beirut, Of Monsters And Men, Local Natives, Death From Above 1979, Crystal Castles, Azealia Banks and more.

Along with all that music, the grounds will feature a silent disco, ping-pong, lawn games and a life-sized game of Connect 4. Local food trucks, restaurants, caterers and vendors have you covered when it comes to food and drinks.
