‘Ultra’ Hits The Road

03:01 PM Friday 2/15/13 | |

Miami’s Ultra Music Festival has a lot to brag about.  The annual EDM bash, now in its 15th year, has announced “phase three” of its artist lineup.  But before Ultra takes over Bayfront Park, it has a little touring to do.

  • Fedde Le Grand

Ultra Music Festival, Bayfront Park, Miami, Fla.
    March 25, 2012

    (John Davisson)

Called “Road To Ultra: A Long Way From Home” the first tour presented by the festival will feature Fedde le Grand with Sultan and Ned Shepard.  Playing clubs, the tour acts as kind of a prelude for the big event in Miami scheduled for two weekends – March 15-17 and March 22-24.

As the road suggests, the tour concludes with the artists playing the festival March 15.  Here’s the mapping:

March 1 – Atlantic City, N.J., HQ Nightclub @ Revel
March 2 – New York, N.Y., Pacha
March 3 – Boston, Mass., Umbria Prime
March 4 – Syracuse, N.Y., The Westcott Theater
March 6 – Pontiac, Mich., Elektricity
March 7 – Chicago, Ill., The Mid
March 12 – Austin, Texas, La Zona Rosa (SXSW)
March 13 – South Padre Island, Texas, Club Chaos
March 14 – Houston, Texas, Stereo Live
March 15 – Miami, Fla., Ultra Music Festival

Ultra has also announced another extensive list of artists gathering in Miami this year.  Called “the third and final phase” of additions, organizers have added Marco Bailey, Christian Smith, Pig and Dan, Henry Saiz, and Quivver to the Bedrock Stage.  Newly assigned to the UMF Radio are DJ Marky, Tantrum Desire, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Dieselboy and Black Sun Empire.  Acts playing the Toolroom Knights’ stage include Mark Knight, Sander Kleinenberg, Chus & Ceballos, Butch, a Friendly Fires DJ set and more.

Ultra Music Festival’s second weekend has already sold out but you can still purchase tickets for March 15-17 as well as packages combining both weekends.  Click here for all information that is Ultra.
