Summer Time With Elton John

British Summer Time festival has snagged Elton John as its latest headliner. In addition to the crocodile rocker and his band, former-Kinks frontman Ray Davies and Elvis Costello will also take the stage for full sets July 12.

Presented by Barclaycard, the British Summer Time takes place at London’s Hyde Park July 5-14 with headline events booked July 5-6 and July 12-13.

Previously announced headliners include Bon Jovi July 5 and two nights of The Rolling Stones. Bon Jovi will be joined by Kaiser Chiefs and Bush. The Stones play July 6 with The Vaccines and Temper Trap, followed by the band’s July 13 show featuring Jake Bugg and Tom Odell.

Additional acts will perform at the Barclaycard Unwind Theatre, Village Hall and Bandstand including Nick Lowe, Lucy Rose, Thea Gilmore, Gary Clark Jr., The Boxer Rebellion, The Futureheads, Vintage Trouble, Charlie Simpson, and more.

British Summer Time has also lined up mid-week programming Monday to Thursday with film screenings, comedy and family friendly activities. Plus, specially designed themed zones on site will offer installations, entertainment, restaurants, bars, cafes and food stalls.

Tickets for Elton John, Ray Davies and Elvis Costello go on sale May 23.
