Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Announces 2013 Lineup

You won’t have to listen to any more music medleys to guess the next round of 2013 Hardly Strictly Bluegrass performers. The festival has announced its full lineup including The String Cheese Incident, Nick Lowe, Billy Bragg, and Steve Martin and Steep Canyon Rangers featuring Edie Brickell.

The free festival is set for Oct. 4-6 in San Francisco at Golden Gate Park at Hellman Hollow (formerly Speedway Meadows) and Lindley & Marx meadows.

After revealing its initial acts through a series of music medleys throughout August, organizers officially unveiled the full roster of confirmed artists Sept. 1.

The lineup features Father John Misty, Loudon Wainwright III, Supermule, Kate McGarrigle Tribute with Martha & Sloan Wainwright & Special Guests, Boz Scaggs, Robert Ellis, The Flatlanders featuring Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore & Butch Hancock, Paul Kelly, Moonalice, Chris Isaak, Bettye LaVette, Natalie Maines, Sturgill Simpson, G. Love & Special Sauce, Patty Griffin, Steve Earle & The Dukes, The Handsome Family, Alison Brown, Ryan Bingham, Robert Earl Keen, Bonnie Raitt, Trampled By Turtles, Gogol Bordello and many, many more acts.

MC Hammer will be there for the Friday morning middle school program while Conor Brings Friends For Friday has lined up Whispertown, The Cave Singers, The Felice Brothers, The Evens, First Aid Kit and, of course, Conor Oberst.     

Festival organizers promise the daily lineups will be released in the coming weeks.
