Acts Announced For Jamrock Reggae Cruise

02:01 PM Wednesday 9/11/13 | |

Promising “the ultimate reggae experience,” the five-night “Welcome To Jamrock Reggae Cruise” sets sail next fall for Jamaica. Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley and Norwegian Cruise Lines announced the lineup today, featuring Marley, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Etana and Tarrus Riley.

The adventure begins Oct. 20, 2014, launching from Miami with stops planned in Montego Bay, the capital of the parish of St. James, and Ocho Rios, a town in the parish of Saint Ann.

And what reggae event would be complete without a few of Bob Marley’s descendants? In addition to Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, you’ll also get Stephen, Julian and Jo Mersa Marley.

There will also be performances from Busy Signal, Morgan Heritage, Wayne Marshall, Christopher Ellis, Black-Am-I and more.

David Rodigan, Stone Love, Renaissance, Mighty Crown and Gramps Morgan will be on board to provide sound systems and DJ sets. Or, as the PR folks put it – they will be “blazing vibes day and night throughout the cruise.”

Fans will have opportunities to “get up close and personal with musical guests.” You can expect late night dance parties with DJs, Q&A sessions, and surprise unplugged performances and jams.
